Challenges with Encrypted Email

Sending and receiving encrypted messages protects sensitive data and information but poses a specific set of challenges when it comes to eDiscovery. With most web-based secure messaging systems, the messages aren’t even archived – just the notification email. This leaves much to be desired from a discovery perspective.

If your organization struggles with balancing the need to secure confidential information (i.e. contracts, personal health data, financial reports, and other content) with the need for eDiscovery, we have the solution

Bluesource + Kiteworks + Enterprise Vault

Bluesource combines the email encryption technology of Kiteworks and the archiving and eDiscovery technology of Arctera Enterprise Vault.

Kiteworks Private Data Network implements comprehensive end-to-end encryption and zero-trust architecture to ensure data is only visible to those who need it. Kiteworks integrates seamlessly with Outlook to send encrypted messages.

By archiving both encrypted and unencrypted content in Enterprise Vault, there is only one place to search, saving time and energy.

Case Study

The Challenge

Migrating emails encrypted with Entrust from on-premises Microsoft Exchange to Google Workspace. Company policies set the encryption certificates for a one-year period, and Google rejects any messages with expired certificates.

The Solution

Bluesource developed software to decrypt the message using the expired certificate into a standard EML and migrate to Google Workspace using their API.
